Academic Excellence

Our middle and high school teachers are committed to the development of strong minds and Godly character. Communication with parents is consistent and on-going, and our curriculum incorporates the Virginia SOL’s. Course instruction is designed to challenge students intellectually, promote a drive for excellence, and build each student’s level of personal responsibility.

In addition to the core academic subjects of English, Math, Science, History, and Bible students gain instruction in the areas of World Language, Technology, Fine Arts, Personal Finance, and Economics. In addition, our students have an opportunity to take a variety of elective courses.

GCA offers both Standard and Advanced Studies diploma tracts. The offering of honors level coursework and dual enrollment, challenge the more advanced students in their academic pursuits. Our seniors complete a Senior Thesis Project which provides each student the opportunity to enhance academic coursework in a personalized area of interest.
