Why GCA?

Guardian Christian Academy is built on community.
It’s our talented and hardworking students who bring life to our campus each day. It’s our dedicated and passionate faculty who show up ready to invest in the hearts and minds of their students. And it’s our committed parents who partner with teachers to support and strengthen their child’s education. Together, we create an extraordinary learning experience.

GCA is also a place of opportunity — where every student is known, valued, and encouraged to do their personal best. Here, students are challenged to grow, explore new subjects, and discover their gifts through a variety of academic and extracurricular programs.

Our Story

Guardian Christian Academy began as a preschool over 45 years ago and has grown into a dually accredited school offering a Christ-centered education for students from preschool through 12th grade.

GCA proudly serves the Chesterfield community by providing families with a safe, caring environment where children can grow both spiritually and academically. Our education emphasizes strong principles and values through scripturally based instruction that develops practical life and leadership skills — equipping young leaders to make a lasting impact.

Programs in technology, art, theater, music, physical education, and foreign language give students new opportunities to explore their gifts and expand their critical thinking skills. In addition, our competitive sports teams train and compete in GCA’s new state-of-the-art Sports Complex, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every area of student life.

At Guardian Christian Academy, students experience an education that nurtures their academic, social, and spiritual growth while inspiring them to discover and develop new skills.

When Southside Church relocated to the corner of Route 288 and Courthouse Road in 1999, the school formally became Guardian Christian Academy. Over time, new programs were introduced and an elementary school was established. Music, Art, PE, Spanish, Library, and Technology classes enriched the core curriculum, creating a well-rounded educational experience.

As the school continued to grow, the vision for a competitive sports program and an upper school took shape — dreams that have since become reality, expanding GCA’s commitment to excellence in faith, learning, and community.

Today Guardian Christian Academy provides quality educational services for children ages 2 through High School.

Our family has been at GCA for 6 years now, and I can’t imagine sending my children anywhere else for school. I had always been confident they were receiving a superior education, but when a friend became a substitute teacher there, she was blown away by everything – from the advanced curriculum to the health and safety protocols. She said I could “rest assured that your girls are getting an EXCELLENT education in a loving, very spiritually sound environment!” We have become such close friends with so many of the families there, and there is such a feeling of being part of a team, all focused on the academic and spiritual growth of our precious children.
