Student Focused Curriculum
Guardian Christian Academy’s academic programs are supported by regularly updated curriculum guides with a scope and sequence for each subject that incorporates Virginia Standards of Learning in addition to Biblical Integration. Educators utilize primarily christian textbooks, supplemental materials, and technology as vehicles to implement learning objectives.
The goal is to offer Christ-centered, high quality instruction through the use of carefully selected texts/e-texts, quality planning, hands-on classroom activities/experiments, and off-site educational experiences that teach to the whole child.

Educational Field Trips
Field trips present a way for students to enjoy experiences related to what they are learning. They bring life to what is being taught.
Overnight experiences such as weekend leadership conferences, mission trips, senior trips, and teambuilding events on the secondary level also occur.
Field trips, overnight trips, and guest speakers provide a tangible, visible dimension to the educational process. Field trip destinations may include: Swift Creek Mill Playhouse, Virginia Repertory Theater, Carter’s Grove, Science Museum of Richmond, Quartermaster’s Museum, Tredegar Ironworks, Richmond Art Museum, Moorefield Mines, Jamestown, Monticello, White House, and the Smithsonian museums. Overnight trips have included New York City, Orlando, Washington DC, and Hershey, PA with plans for more in the future.
